For a long time virtualization was discussed as "reducing the number of servers". Today the real question is different: licensing models changed, annual cost multiplied on some platforms, and organizations began paying far more for infrastructure doing the same work. The agenda has moved from consolidation to platform choice.
Changing platform is technically possible but expensive when done blind. We start with an inventory of the current environment: how many virtual machines there are, which resources each one actually uses, what depends on what, and which of them can tolerate no downtime. Any migration plan made without that inventory rests on guesswork.
Once the decision is made we run the move in waves rather than in one go. The way back stays open at the end of each wave, and the next wave only begins once the previous one is verified as working. High availability and backup design are built into the migration itself, not added as a layer afterwards.

Do we have to move off our current virtualization platform?
Not at all. License cost is not the only input either: your team's existing knowledge, application compatibility and the support model all count. We put the comparison in front of you with real numbers and make the decision together.
How long will our systems be down during the migration?
For most virtual machines downtime can be held to minutes. For critical systems we run a rehearsal beforehand, measure the real outage window and tell you the figure in advance.
Will our backup setup keep working after the migration?
Backup is treated as its own item in the migration plan. The migration is not considered complete until backups are confirmed to run on the new platform and — more importantly — to restore.
